Jewelry Gifts for Valentine’s Day 2012

What is the best gift for your valentine for the approaching Valentine’s Day 2012? How about the stunning, stylish Valentine’s jewelry? Whether you want to make beads crafts with beads charms or buy watches, your choice of valentine’s gift can express your love to your other half.

Buy finished charms bracelets or finished bracelets for your lovers on Valentine’s Day. Giving a charm bracelet not only allows you to tailor the gift to your sweetheart’s personality, but will allow you to keep building upon it on future Valentine’s Days. Choose charms that represent things you share common interests in, places you have gone together or things you love about her personality. The possibilities are nearly endless, as charms are available for just about every conceivable hobby, interest and destination. If you want to start fresh and build it together over time, start with the bracelet itself and a simple heart engraved with “February 14th” and the year. Choose a bracelet based on the other jewelry your sweetheart wears. If she wears delicate jewelry, choose a slimmer bracelet. Also, note whether she has a preference for a certain metal. Gold and silver bracelets and charms are easy to find; platinum and white or rose gold are available, but rarer and more costly.

Choose watches for your valentine. The gift of an elegant timepiece can be just as romantic on Valentine’s Day as any other jewelry. Pocket or locket watches are as attractive as they are functional and can often be engraved. Depending on how large the watch is, have a heart-warming message or quote, the date and/or your initials combined with your sweetheart’s engraved on the back. As with any other jewelry, note the style and composition of the pieces she already wears and take that into consideration when selecting a watch for her.

Mizpah coins are designed to be broken in half, with two people each receiving one of the halves. The inscription on the coin traditionally reads, “The lord watch between me and thee when we are absent one from another.” This gift is well-suited for couples in long-distance relationships or who must otherwise be separated from each other. If your loved one’s job requires him to be away on business trips or military deployments, give him his half of the mizpah as a pendant that he can wear on a chain and keep close to his heart.
