She wears a pair of simple red shoes and a camel coat, looking amazingly graceful. It is the second time she has modelled for the classic brand – in the spring she posed in shorts, camisoles and cropped jackets for a playful greenhouse shoot. The Hours star replaced the supermodel Linda Evangelista who was the brand’s face for the autumn of 2010.
Talbots says the new campaign, shot by renowned photographer David Sims, has a cinematic feel for the Oscar-nominated leading lady ‘while also capturing Ms Moore’s personality and classic beauty.’ The classic beauty adds her inimitable chic to the brand.
Michael Smaldone, Chief Creative Officer of Talbots, said: ‘Julianne Moore is a classic beauty, an extraordinary actress, mother, author and a true modern woman. She embodies the true essence of the Talbots’ brand platform.’
The adverts will launch in September and October in glossy women’s magazines and high-end fashion publications such as Vogue, Marie Claire and Glamour.
The brand, which is enjoying an image makeover through the allegiance with the effortlessly chic actress, has slogans including ‘We believe blazers are beautiful, but trailblazers are stunning.’ and ‘We believe that charm is the best accessory.’
